He currently serves as a Retail Branch Manager at Alkaram Studio, Larkana, where he oversees store operations, drives sales growth, manages KPIs, leads teams, ensures visual merchandising standards, and optimizes customer experience and performance.
His ability to balance numbers with people – and strategy with execution – makes him a complete branch leader.
Strong Academic Foundation
His academic background is both relevant and strategic. Gulzar holds an MBA in Marketing from COMSATS (2018) with a major in Marketing Management. This degree equips him with strategic insight, consumer behavior understanding, and leadership capabilities that he has applied across every role.
Originally from Sukkur/Gambat, Gulzar has worked across Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Larkana – proving his adaptability and willingness to grow anywhere. He didn’t wait for opportunities to come to his hometown. He went where the work was.
The Journey: From Sales Executive to Branch Manager
Every career has a starting point. For Gulzar, it was February 2009 at Karachi Electric Supply Co (KESC) as an Operation Officer (Third Party) , where he handled employee relations, disciplinary cases, MIS and record keeping, ID cards, clearances, and correspondence.
But his real foundation in sales was laid in March 2011 when he joined NPD Pvt Ltd (Unilever Pakistan) as a Sales Executive. There, he learned the art of establishing policies to generate more business – a lesson in systems thinking that became the cornerstone of his managerial style.

As a Cash Counter Executive across Bahadurabad (Karachi) and Queens Road (Sukkur), he managed fund and bank operations, cash collection, petty cash, stock monitoring, payroll, SOP compliance, and customer query resolution.Apr 2016 – Jan 2019 | Nishat Linen Pvt LtdPromoted to Assistant Branch Manager at Military Road, Sukkur, he took on inventory management, sales and merchandising strategy, retail operations plans, P&L growth, financial reporting, and building a customer service culture.
Jan 2019 – Apr 2021 | Edenrobe Apparel Pvt Ltd
As Branch Manager at Military Road, Sukkur, he handled store floor management, monthly targets, staff rostering, merchandising, cash handling, deposits, customer service, and turnover management.
Apr 2021 – Aug 2021 | Alkaram Studio, Clifton Block 6, Karachi
As Branch Manager, he focused on sales plans, training programs, marketing events, customer satisfaction, budgets, forecasts, compliance, and branch coordination.
